Meet Our Managing Director
Safaris & Treasures is managed by our founder, Jinky Dagoon, a passionate advocate for East Africa who proudly regards Tanzania as her second home. The inspiration for starting this travel venture stems from Jinky's deep-seated love for Tanzania and her commitment to share its wonders with the world. Since 2011, she has split her time between the U.S. and Tanzania, immersing herself in the local culture and landscapes.
Residing in a serene village nestled in a valley between the majestic peaks of Mt. Kilimanjaro and Mt. Meru, Jinky leverages her extensive background as a university lecturer, project manager, and business consultant in Arusha, Tanzania's safari capital. Her belief in the richness of Tanzania’s offerings—from the warmth of its people and the flavors of its cuisine, carefully crafted with the freshest ingredients, to its breathtaking natural landscapes and extraordinary wildlife—fuels her passion for creating unforgettable experiences for her clients. Jinky has explored most of Tanzania’s regions, continually captivated by its pristine beaches along the Indian Ocean, Lake Malawi, Lake Victoria, and Lake Tanganyika, the lush slopes of the Usambara mountain ranges, and the breathtaking southern highlands of Iringa, Mbeya, and Njombe. The crowning jewel of her adventures is Tanzania's sprawling savannas, teeming with iconic wildlife that showcases the breathtaking beauty of the African wilderness.

We take immense pride in our extraordinary driver guides, Jackson and Fredy, who bring a wealth of experience and passion to every safari. Fredy, a former mountain guide on Kilimanjaro and a hot air balloon chaser, boasts over ten years of bush experience. Jackson, hailing from the scenic Pare Mountains, possesses extensive expertise in the northern and western safari circuits. Their in-depth knowledge of the wild is complemented by a diploma in wildlife management, equipping them with the skills to enhance your safari experience. Together, they offer insightful commentary, professional driving, and an unparalleled connection to the breathtaking landscapes and wildlife of Tanzania, ensuring that every journey is both educational and unforgettable.
