Safaris & Treasures is managed by Jinky who is passionate about East Africa and proudly calls Tanzania her second home. The inspiration to start this travel venture comes from Jinky's true love of Tanzania and her deep commitment to share this wonderful country to the world. She divides her time between the US and Tanzania since 2011. When in Tanzania she lives in a small village in a valley between two of the country’s highest mountains - the majestic Mt Kilimanjaro and the grandiose Mt. Meru. She was a university lecturer, project manager, and business consultant in Arusha, the country's safari capital, prior to focusing on the company full time. She believes that Tanzania has so much to offer -- from the kindness of its beautiful people and the delicious cuisines lovingly prepared using only the freshest ingredients, to its great outdoors and amazing wildlife. She has traveled solo to most of its regions and is continually awed by its beautiful beaches along the coasts of the Indian Ocean, Lake Malawi, Lake Victoria, and Lake Tanganyika; the rich slopes of the Usambara mountain ranges and the southern highlands of Iringa, Mbeya, and Njombe regions, the majestic Kilimanjaro; and the rich culture of the many tribes that inhabit the country. But what she couldn’t get enough of is Tanzania's pristine savannas, steppes, and forests teeming with wildlife.
