Safari from the Sky in Southern Serengeti

Updated: Apr 7, 2022

Another spectacular safari from the sky adventure with Miracle Experience Balloon Safaris. This time following the Great Migration in Ndutu in southern Serengeti where large herds of zebras and wildebeest are for the calving season from January to mid March. We left our mobile tented camp in Ndutu at around 5:30 am and arrived in the launching site just in time to witness the magnificent sun rising in the eastern savanna. We were served freshly-brewed Arabica coffee while the crew was preparing the balloon for the flight. After a briefing by the pilot, the hot air balloon sent us floating over trees, endless plains, winding streams, placid lakes, remote tented camps, and of course magnificent wildlife. We saw prancing dik-diks, graceful gazelles, grazing buffaloes, bat-eared foxes scurrying home in their burrows from their nocturnal activities, countless zebras, elegant elands, towering giraffes, elephants, wildebeest, hyenas, various bird species, and beautifully mesmerizing lions. A champagne toast followed upon landing and we were driven to a breakfast site in the middle of nowhere to complete the morning with a sumptuous bush feast. It was indeed a beautiful and memorable experience. So this, folks, is my Africa. Amazing, spectacular, and unrivaled in beauty and splendor.
